Sound for a birthday party: which equipment to hire?
A successful birthday party has an atmosphere that gets going with the aperitif and builds up to the dance floor. The right equipment depends on the number of guests, the venue (living room, garden, hired hall) and whether or not you want to get people dancing.
A small gathering at home (~20-40 people)
A compact solution is enough: the LD Dave 15 system (2.1 with built-in mixer and Bluetooth) is set up in two minutes and plays your playlist from a phone. Ideal for a living room, terrace or small garden.
Dance party (~50-100 people)

A few LED spotlights, a lighting effect and a smoke machine turn a room into a dance floor. Discreet during the meal, spectacular when the cake comes out and for the party.

Which sound system for a birthday party of 50 people?
To get around fifty guests dancing, two speakers with a subwoofer (complete system with 1 subwoofer) are ideal. For simple background music and speeches, two speakers or a compact LD system are enough.
Can I connect a phone or a computer?
Yes. Our systems accept Bluetooth or a jack/USB input: you play your playlist from a phone, a computer or a USB stick, with no extra equipment.
Do I need a microphone for speeches?
If you are planning speeches or entertainment, a microphone plugs directly into the system. Mention it when you book so we can prepare it.
